Kathryn Wombwell 

Kathryn Wombwell is a painter who lives and paints in Colchester, Essex. Kathryn has been painting for over 40 years choosing watercolours and acrylics as her preferred medium. 

 

A member of the Colchester Art Society Kathryn has exhibited at Firstsite, Colchester's highly acclaimed Visual Arts centre and LionWalk Church.

 

In 2017 she received a commendation from the Society of All Artists for her paintings she created when travelling in Kerala.

Despite her paintings verging on the abstract the subject in her work is always clearly visible across all of her styles.

​

Her garden and husband Rob's allotment have and continue to be an inspiration for her more intricate, botanical styled work. Recently she has  enjoyed working more freely with acrylics to capture colour and light in her buildings and landscapes.
